Deleting messages or threads is not desirable, because replies to posts should not point to nirvana, like the post by @Bodenseeknusperli in response to your query, which was overwritten with this text.
By the way: You can only edit messages in the forum during the first 24 hours.

@Frederica good morning, I don't think the 24 hours is enough, in another forum you can edit your own posts later, which I think is great, so you can add to them or revise them. As liabs Grüasli from a rainy Khur
We have defined this time period in this way because it should be possible to change typos or spelling mistakes afterwards (for which 24 hours are super sufficient).
We have limited this processing time because the answers in the thread are based on each other: If someone completely rewrites their post high up in a thread after some time, it may be that the posts below it no longer make any sense at all and become misleading.
If you fundamentally change your opinion, there is always the chance to communicate/add to it later in the thread. In this way, the course of the discussion remains transparent and clearly comprehensible.
Does that help you? Best wishes and have a good evening, Tabi
