It is often the case that products that are on promotion are offered in double or multiple packs. They are always additionally shrink-wrapped. This seems necessary for the checkout so that only the item on promotion is read. Wouldn't it be technically possible to simply get two or three individual items at the promotional price? Without any foil? In my opinion, this should only be a problem with the checkout technology....

Did you know: Since 2011, almost 10,000 tons of packaging material have been optimized. In a current pledge, this figure is 6,000 tons by 2020. This corresponds to around 10% of the annual amount of packaging material used for Migros' own brands. The issue of promotional packaging presents us with particular logistical challenges: - Migros tries to avoid overpackaging or double packaging wherever possible (also from a financial perspective).
- As promotions are only available in stores for a short time, they must be clearly labelled - For logistical reasons, outer packaging is usually necessary - However, Migros also offers promotions for many products without additional outer packaging: for example, sell-outs for yoghurt are usually offered in packs of 4 or 6 without additional outer packaging. Special versions... ↵↵Monday there were strawberries in Lidl, looked exactly the same as in Migros, price was great. ↵Why should I wait until Tuesday? They don't get any prettier.↵And I always find it great that the goods that are on sale on Tuesday are already set up on Saturday and are completely ready in the store by Monday, but the special offer price is only valid on Tuesday. ↵Well, and the real problem is that it's not marked anywhere! And there are still valid promotions from the week before in between...↵↵Nee all these strange promotions... ↵When it's set up, the price should be valid from then on. ↵If not, please cover it or mark it.
