Migipedia: Slimmer and even more personal thanks to you
Philipp_Migros
I first told you about Migipedia's forthcoming makeover at the end of summer 2023. Since then, we have successively given one page after another a facelift and made the new pages available to you in a kind of preview function for testing and giving feedback. You have also diligently used this opportunity over the past few months. We have analyzed several hundred such messages and incorporated them into the new design. You have improved our search function, urged us to ensure that dark mode was also available for previewing as quickly as possible, and significantly contributed to the development of individual pages. Once again, I would like to thank you for your tireless efforts. We have worked well together. After all, 75% of you said you found the new Migipedia pages "better" or "much better". You particularly liked the reduction in content, the more generous design, and the focus on Migros products.
But why the new lick of paint?
Everything was fine before. The number of Migros community members has grown steadily, as has activity. That 's why some of you may be wondering why we opted for a makeover. In early summer 2023, we interviewed a large number of Migipedia users, both those who like Migipedia and those who only visit Migipedia now and again. We set tasks and observed users as they moved around the pages. In combination with figures from web analytics, a clear picture emerged: That we could make Migipedia even better.
The website through which you are now browsing is therefore to a certain extent the outcome of this collaboration. Your feedback over the past year has not only made an important contribution toward improving our products. It has also improved Migipedia.ch.
Of course, new things can be unfamiliar at first, sometimes even irritating. However, the combination of consistently positive feedback during parallel operation and the fact that almost nothing has changed in terms of functionality makes us confident that you will quickly feel at home on the new-look Migipedia. And of course we're still interested in your feedback, whether in the forum or via the feedback function at the top, by the Migipedia logo.
Thank you for your inspiring and instructive collaboration in recent weeks and months.
Best regards,
Philipp

Thank you for providing the detailed update on the upcoming Migipedia makeover. Here are the key points I gathered:
Migipedia has been undergoing a redesign process since end of summer 2023, gradually rolling out revamped pages in a preview mode for user testing and feedback.
You've received and analyzed hundreds of user feedback messages over the past few months, incorporating them into the new design.
User input helped improve features Can dog eat like the search function, addition of dark mode preview, and refinement of individual pages.
Around 75% of users found the new Migipedia pages "better" or "much better" based on the feedback, appreciating the reduced content, more generous design, and focus on Migros products.
The redesign stemmed from research in early summer 2023, involving user interviews, observation studies and web analytics data - indicating opportunities to improve Migipedia further.
While the functionality remains largely unchanged, the new look aims to provide a better user experience based on the feedback received during parallel operation.
You are grateful for the inspiring and instructive user collaboration over recent weeks/months that drove these design improvements.
Continued user feedback remains valued through forums and the on-site feedback function.
Overall, it's great to see Migipedia prioritizing an iterative redesign approach driven by extensive user research and feedback over time. This collaborative effort should result in an enhanced Migipedia experience for the community.
