Are all food products returned to stores really destroyed?
Les produits alimentaires retournés en magasin sont-ils vraiment tous détruits ?

Hello,
A loyal Migros customer for many years, I mistakenly bought Delizio coffee capsules instead of Nespresso. I went back to the Migros store a few days later to get my money back. I was told that Migros doesn't normally take back food products, but that in exceptional cases they would refund my money. I was told that my capsules would be destroyed, like all food returns, for hygiene reasons. I should point out that I had not opened the packet of capsules. This is a shelf-stable product, not a product to be kept in a cool place. I think it's scandalous that Migros, with its current commitment to sustainability, doesn't sort its "food" returns more carefully or valorize these products in other ways: selling them at a reduced price, donating them to charities, and so on.
