Seeded bread and graham bread disappeared

Kernenbrot und Grahambrot verschwunden

Seed bread - THE Migros classic for me. I grew up with it and miss it sorely despite the large selection of new grain breads.
Graham bread, the classic, has also disappeared. Graham bread is better than all the new trendy breads.
Why does Migros have to "clean up" its tried and tested products?

Hello ElbSand, I will be happy to look into your request. Would you like to let me know your purchasing branch? I will then check this with the relevant cooperative. Best regards, Alex

Please return the graham bread to 9500 Wil SG. Thank you.

Hello ElbSand, thank you for your feedback. We were happy to contact the Migros Cooperative Eastern Switzerland. Unfortunately, the Kornknacker bread had a delivery interruption. It should be available again from next week in all stores without an in-house bakery - such as Spisermarkt. We have not had graham bread in our range for around 10 years and there are no plans to reintroduce it at the moment. Kind regards, Matteo

Hello again

I asked our bread expert if there is a comparable bread to the missing graham bread.

Here is his recommendation:

En Guete and best regards

Kathrin

None of the many newly launched substitute breads come close to graham bread. When will graham bread finally come back? It is still available in certain well-running bakeries, but is always sold out immediately. So there is a need after all!

Hello @stegi4rex

Thank you for your contribution.

We can recommend the healthy YOU protein bread (item 1114.458) or the TerraSuisse wholemeal bread (item 1110.620) as alternatives to the graham bread. In October, we will be introducing a rye sourdough bread, which contains flour made from the whole ground grain, to our range.

I hope that there will be an alternative for you.

Best regards

Angela

Protein bread is no substitute for graham bread, and I don't like the taste of it at all. None of the breads listed come close to graham bread. Why do new creations always have to come onto the market and the old tried and tested breads have to disappear? Innovation is all well and good, but not in all areas. The Semmeli still exists, as does the Bürli. Why not graham bread?

The seeded bread was unique and incomparable. I'm sure it would be at least as popular today as all the fancy granola breads. So, dear Migros bakers, dig out the old recipes again!

Yes, the seeded bread was my favorite. None of the new breads can replace it. Just like the graham bread.
