Hello, I love shopping at Migros but I think it's a shame that there aren't any "silent hours"; especially for people with autism or anxiety, as there are in other stores in Switzerland and elsewhere.
I know that Migros has said in the past that autistic people can order via the internet, but unfortunately online shopping (although very practical) doesn't offer the same experience as in real life. As a neurodivergent person, shopping online doesn't allow me to evaluate my basket as well as in real life, and doing everything via the internet unfortunately leads to isolation. But shopping at Migros is a real ordeal, with all the noise and lights.... It sometimes takes me several days to recover, and this is also the case for many other neurodivergent people. Others simply can't do their own shopping any more, as it can be so difficult. A quieter time slot would make it more comfortable for your neurodivergent customers, whether they're anxious, ASD or ADD, etc. If we say "M is for better" and if "Migros does more for Switzerland", then I really think that inclusiveness can be one of Migros's priorities.

In view of the detailed description you've given us, we can well understand that you aspire to "quiet hours" to do your shopping. It's true that the in-store shopping experience is not comparable to the online shopping experience. They both have positive and negative sides, and can be perceived in different ways. Quiet hours", during which lights are dimmed and sound interaction is reduced, will be implemented in our latest-generation stores. In future, for example, we will dispense with all superfluous communication (no hanging advertising posters or unnecessary leaflets and stickers on the shelves). The brightness is also greatly reduced in the latest sales outlets, such as Migros Lucerne's Ruopigen and Embrach stores, making them much more pleasant. What's more, there is no longer any difference between the floor tiles, enabling us to consciously remove many annoying obstacles. As you can see, we do our utmost to integrate our customers' needs into the design of our stores. Hi Luthin! I'm in the same situation but now (for 4 years, following a major sensory burn-out) I can't do my shopping at all. It's a real problem on a daily basis because I can sometimes go several days without food, because I can't find anyone to help me do it and bring me the food. Not being able to order online either (I'm working on remedying that, which is why I'm here, even if it won't be for a long time), I'm reduced to total dependence on a third party to feed me. In short, we live in a society that's ultra-rugged and aggressive on various sensory levels, and to make matters worse there are too many humans on earth (noise, agitation, proximity, pollution, etc.). So I understand your need for calm and I'm delighted you expressed it. Unfortunately, the aim of these stores is not to reduce the hustle and bustle. From a marketing point of view, that would be a nonsense for them (several studies have shown that music, the choice of certain colors and certain visual stimuli are factors that drive hyposensitive profiles to consumption). Which, on the other hand, is an ordeal for high-potential sensitives like us. I can see from your message that you still have faith that the world is getting better. For my part, I've long understood that economic interests will always come before animalist values (well-being and respect for the needs of all animals, including the human species, since we are animals). All this to say that I doubt that Migros (like COOP and CIE) will create stores adapted to the needs of people like us. Courage to you and good luck with your life among the hypos.
