Does Migros Purchasing also attach importance to good taste and does it guarantee the varieties of fruit grown? Are there quality controls regarding taste?

The fruit from Migros was Swiss, without flavor.

I understand farmers who grow the higher-yielding variety as long as the buyers don't have any specifications regarding variety and taste and simply want to pay a low price. Incidentally, the flavored strawberries were even cheaper than in Migros...

I get the feeling more and more that the wholesalers simply want to have goods on the shelves and that taste hardly plays a role. As consumers, we then only have the option of leaving the goods on the shelf and hoping that the wholesalers notice.

Because in around 75% of cases, the strawberries sold by wholesalers are simply bland.
