We are very surprised by Migros' decision to remove Dubler Mohrenköpfe from its range. Don't we have more important problems to solve? Do we have to react directly to every issue that is a bit topical at the moment, but that no one will be very interested in a few weeks' time? Of course racism is an issue that needs to be tackled and eliminated, if this is ever possible. Racism is not changed by changing the names of products, but by our attitude and mindset. In our opinion, Migros is pulling the lever in the wrong place. We are not racists, absolutely not. We try to respect everyone, regardless of their skin color, religion or orientation. But we grew up with Moor's heads as a beloved sweet treat, among other things, without any negative, discriminatory or racist ulterior motives. We also never imagined biting into a black head when we enjoyed a carrot head, which is why we have decided to stop buying carrot heads from Migros, whatever they will be called in future. Instead, we will consciously and increasingly consider the traditional Aargau company and buy our Mohrenköpfe there personally. We also very much hope that a name change will not be considered there under any circumstances. A little mental exercise at the end: how much longer can we say "driving license"?
