Many years ago, when I was still a child in the 1980s, there was a great cassata ice cream in Migros.
It was an ice cream cake in a semi-circular shape, similar to a tree trunk.
It had the typical candied fruit in the middle.
We estimate that this ice cream has probably not been around for 15 years +/-.
Wouldn't that be something for a reintroduction?
Cassata is hardly available any more, if at all, although it is a real classic.

Was a standard dessert in the second half of the last century. The name comes from the Arabic: qas'at/qas'ah, bowl/bowl.

? Hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, noooooo! I don't like candied fruit at all.
? But a glacé tree trunk with pieces of chestnut in it, that would be it, I definitely wouldn't say no to that and maybe covered with caramel, jammmii.
