As a schoolboy with a passion for handicrafts (around 30 years ago), I knew that Migros products were very different from branded goods - glue, brushes, paint, colored pencils, erasers, paper, adhesive strips... ...apart from ink cartridges, you bought everything in the stationery shop.
As an adult who was still enthusiastic about handicrafts, I experienced a change. The 2-component epoxy glue from Migros was simply a hit! The parcel adhesive tape, the insulating tape, the fabric tape and the masking tape also stood up to comparison with branded products. I became a loyal Migros customer and practically never went to a stationery or craft store again. The range was also varied: latex milk, casting compound, clay, plaster, paste - everything was available in my MMM store.
But no summer lasts forever! First, the 2-component epoxy adhesive disappeared from the range. Then the insulating tape and fabric tape were replaced by other products. Even the package adhesive tape was replaced.
And now it's like my school days again... ...whether paper clip or parcel tape: better not from Migros!
Real annoyances are:
- Paper clips: don't hold paper together and bend because they are much too soft
- Parcel adhesive tape: tears lengthwise (instead of crosswise) as soon as it is unrolled
- Fabric tape: doesn't stick very well and is far too thin
- Insulating tape: doesn't stick very well and is far too thin
- Masking tape: simply unusable
- UHU Plus, fast-setting (epoxy); sticks much less strongly than Araldit Rapid
- Assortment changes every month: sometimes available, sometimes not - very funny!
