I try to buy organic fruit and vegetables. Unfortunately, this involves a lot of plastic on the one hand and a lot of quantity on the other. Until recently, for example, I was able to buy organic fennel individually and unpackaged, but now my local store only sells it in foil packs of two. However, you can buy conventional fennel individually. The situation is similar with celery stalks. Organic apples and kiwis are only available in packs of six. I think the large quantities and the packaging waste are a shame and avoidable.
