Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about this in the Migros search function. I would like to know what "M" means "MM" or "MMM". That way I could shop in a more targeted way. Even at a different location. That would be helpful for me. Do any of you know? Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, this is not true. Some MM stores only carry the second M because an M restaurant is attached (examples: Bern Freudenberg and Bern Bethlehem). The stores themselves do not carry a wider range of products than an average, i.e. not very small, M store. Overall, even after almost nine years, I still haven't figured out the product range management in Bern; every store is different. Very small neighborhood M stores can have things in their range that I can't find in a larger store, but essential products are missing - and it changes all the time.

The designations M and MM really do seem to be assigned somewhat arbitrarily. About seven years ago, I noticed that the Migro branch in Zurich-Höngg is registered as an M, but the much smaller branch in Bern station (near the Postbus bus station) is supposed to be an MM. When I asked why this was the case, I unfortunately didn't get a satisfactory answer, so I can't explain it.

The second M has nothing to do with the Migros restaurant. M = Migros MM = Migros Market MMM = Migros Multi Market That's how I learned it from my parents, who both worked at Migros for most of their lives

And then Migros told me that this was humbug. And again as an example of the Zurich-Höngg branch: for years it was labeled MIGROS MARKT - but was still listed as S (i.e. even smaller than M) in the branch directory.

Hm..... but that confuses me now. Does this mean that Migros itself doesn't know the meaning of the "M's"? It would be really great if someone from Migros would comment on this.

Dear Migros, I'll take a guess with 😀↵↵M= Migros (just the supermarket alone)↵↵MM= Migros + specialist store (can also be "just" a restaurant or Florissimo...)↵↵MM= Migros Center with several specialist stores, i.e. the really big shopping malls.↵↵Correct?
