I've been missing the Banago recently ... Has it disappeared from the range again? I missed it painfully on Saturday, 28.08.2021, in the MMM Ladedorf in Langendorf ?

Hello Newzealand, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, I have to inform you that we no longer offer Banago powder because demand has steadily declined. As an alternative, I recommend the organic Max Havelaar cocoa drink: https://produkte.migros.ch/bio-max-havelaar-kakaogetraenk Kind regards, Richi

Too bad it disappeared again without a word. At the time of its introduction, there was a huge fanfare, articles and reports on every possible news portal, pages and pages in the newspaper... and now it's gone again without people having known about it since the what was it, 70s? Without being able to stock up and simply knowing that it will no longer exist. Well, huge advertising drum: Yes, small but useful information: No
It's a real shame that this product has also been removed from the range... I suspect there's a system behind it. Migros doesn't want to publicly announce the products they intend to remove from their range because they're probably afraid of a possible shitstorm... So they do it quietly and secretly, according to the motto "nobody/hardly anyone will notice", and if they do, then there's this forum here, and then they can "shine" with their standard answers (too little space on the shelf/rack, low customer demand blah blah blah).

Well, it's not really a pity about this tasteless cereal that doesn't dissolve in cold milk. But it was foreseeable that something would have to disappear when a branded product (Caotina) was added to the range. I'm glad that the tried and tested Califora didn't have to go. Although, I'm sure that will come too, any bet...

Well, it's just Max Havelaar and therefore particularly trendy. It can also be sold with a better margin, but it certainly won't be removed from the range, even if it sells poorly.

Yes, I also find it very weak to simply remove a product from the range without saying a word. I find it a mockery to recommend the Bio Havelaar cocoa drink as an alternative. Offering a perceived NO-name product instead of a brand that has been popular for generations: From a marketing point of view, that's the ultimate disaster. If Migros always made decisions like this, it would have disappeared long ago. An absolutely incomprehensible decision.

We also miss the Banago very much! We have only just realized that it is missing because we wanted to refill our can. Where is it available now?

In case you haven't noticed, Migros is always quietly and secretly removing products from its range...

Bet won: 1 kg bags of Califora have disappeared from the smaller stores. If you buy the 500 g bags that are still on offer (and I need them every day), that's a price mark-up of 20%. I could just as easily switch to the branded product. However, I don't buy it in Migros, but in the store next door. Migros has already become a little more dispensable...
