Dear all,
Until recently, a liter of Alnatura oat drink cost two francs in Migros. At the Alnatura supermarket in Weil am Rhein, you paid €1.45 for the identical product. In view of the somewhat stronger euro, the price in Migros was only slightly higher than in Germany. These days, however, the oat drink in Migros has gone up in price. It now costs CHF 2.15. Migros was obviously not prepared to compensate for the slightly higher euro with a lower margin. This is unpleasant, but acceptable. However, I was quite astonished when I discovered that the identical oat drink in the identical packaging now costs €1.25 in the Alnatura store, i.e. 20 cents cheaper. While the price is falling in Germany, it is rising in Switzerland. Migros, which otherwise (rightly) pillories branded companies for the Swiss surcharge, is doing exactly the same thing with a product that it imports itself: Migros also levies a Switzerland surcharge.
I'm curious to see what excuse I'll hear as to why the price of the oat drink has been increased.
