Most of the promotions at Migros are not for small households. Family or multiple packs, etc. Is that still in keeping with the times? Certainly not in the cities.

Hello Aquabarbarbara, thank you for your message. Are you missing a specific product as a small pack promotion? The promotions on large packs are usually foods that you can store for longer or freeze well. They are therefore also suitable for small households in some cases. The fact is that one- and two-person households, particularly in urban areas, represent a growing proportion of the Swiss population. We try to accommodate this trend as far as possible by already offering smaller portions of numerous items, such as canned goods (beans, peas, pineapple slices, rösti, etc.), cheese and meat and sausage products (various individual portions). It should be noted that the packaging and production costs are often not much lower than for standard portions. The small portions are therefore more expensive in comparison, which is why many consumers continue to prefer the usual pack sizes. Because we only ever stock small packs as an additional offer and space on our shelves is limited, the demand for these items must be high enough. Kind regards, Noemi

The shelf life and further processing certainly apply to many products, but as another person affected I would like to show here with 3 examples that this is by no means the case: -- Pork kidneys in packs of approx. 10 pieces for immediate consumption - defrosted... it says on the back of the packaging ... should not be put back in the freezer ! -- Currently Rösti in bags XL of 750g from 3 packs ! The 250g packs for small households are not included! You could also offer 5 or 9 packs of 250g, that's not the problem, but the size of the individual opened pack, which you can't eat in one go - the freezer is full anyway... -- During the carnival season, the doughnuts: 4 pieces are simply too much and they should be eaten fresh as a luxury food and here too I allow myself the same comment about the freezer... Most of the time the problem arises immediately when shopping anyway.

Dear Naomi, in view of corona, there are more and more small families or individuals. I live in the country and my father has been living alone in the city since Nov. 19, where there is also a lack of small packages. Especially with meat, he only has a very small freezer compartment and can only literally do a small purchase, so please implement this possibility Thank you Dear regards Susanne

Hello Pancaldi, thank you for your suggestion. We understand the desire for smaller portions for single and two-person households. The ever-increasing range of self-service fruit and vegetables, the open sale of meat, bread, patisserie, cheese and, to an increasing extent, Traiteur dishes are improving the opportunities for small households to shop according to their own needs. We will gladly take your feedback on board. Kind regards, Susi

I would like to join the previous speakers. There are no promotions on small packs! Migros only caters to families! What a pity. I also hope that there will be no more sticker collection campaigns, this is anything but environmentally friendly! Migros is not there for everyone.
