Resetting customer ratings when changing suppliers for a product
Zurücksetzen der Kundenbewertung bei Lieferantenwechsel eines Produkts
About four to six months ago, the supplier of the panna cotta with raspberry coulis was changed. The new product from Rians in France does not meet expectations. This can be deduced from most of the new customer reviews, which give it a one-star rating. Unfortunately, the numerous 5-star ratings for the old, exceptionally good quality are included in the average calculation. This results in an average of 3.8 stars, which is incorrect. This is referred to as "misrepresentation of facts" or, in modern German, "fake rating."
In my opinion, previous ratings should no longer be taken into account when changing suppliers. The purchasing commission (if it takes note of the ratings at all) could identify the new products and determine that the newly purchased product is not edible. It would be interesting to know what influence the ratings of customers who take the time to write them have on Migros.
I would appreciate a statement from a Migros representative on this matter.
