Thank you for your question, which I am very happy to look into. I've actually had the problem myself a couple of times in the last few weeks, but assumed it was just bad luck.
Now I'm doubly curious to see what I can find out...
I'll let you know as soon as I've been able to find out more.

I'm sorry, it took me a little longer to reply. Our vegetable manager wrote to me that the weather conditions with the drought were indeed suboptimal, the plants suffered and this affected the growth of the onions. This may be one reason why the quality of the onions is not optimal. Nevertheless, these should not be sold and we apologize for this. The internal and external inspection bodies have been asked to check the goods more frequently.
If you have any further problems, please return the problematic goods to your Migros customer service.
