Sugar beet syrup

Zuckerrübensirup

Guest

I (14) prefer to eat sugar beet syrup in the morning as an alternative to honey. Unfortunately, my best friend always has to bring it to me from Germany because, as far as I know, this product is not available in Migros. I hope I'm not alone in my wish because I think this tangy-sweet taste is simply fantastic!

Hello celina99

Thank you for your message. I've never had sugar beet syrup before - is it similar in consistency to honey? Or more like maple syrup, which you (I) eat with pancakes?

I'll be happy to pass on your request - perhaps this syrup will actually fit into our range.

Kind regards

That would be really great! It's more like maple syrup in consistency (very runny).

A friend of mine from childhood (a long time ago :-) always had pear syrup. I wonder if it's similar?

In my opinion, it is less sweet, rather a little tart.
However, the consistency is about the same :)

I always have sugar beet syrup from Germany in stock. You need this syrup for biscuit recipes.
hasn't pear syrup been available in migros before?

Pear syrup (Birnel) is available in the Coop. However, I think sugar beet syrup is much better because it's not as sweet.

I'm also in for sugar beet syrup!

AND? Is there now ......????

Hello Ursilee, thank you for your question. We don't currently have any sugar beet syrup in our range. Perhaps you would like to try Alnatura's rice syrup or agave syrup as an alternative? Depending on which region you come from, we also stock regional pear syrups, which could be an alternative. Best regards, Chloe
