Dear Migros
Why is this poison in our food? Don't we have a right to food without additives?
Chemical additives are clearly responsible for allergies, MS, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, cancer, etc.
Food must look good, taste good and be cheap to produce. THAT is most important to you. You don't give a damn about the health of consumers!
Make a start and produce food without additives! When I read the list of ingredients in countless products, I feel sick at the amount of chemicals in them.
The chemicals in food are making the whole of humanity sick!!! Emulsifier is just one example of thousands... Emulsifier and flavoring in a goat cheese (Chavroux); that is absolutely perverse!!!
Emulsifiers
The principle of action of emulsifiers is similar to that of detergents. They make water miscible with fat, stabilize protein foams and help to produce instant products. They increase the mechanical resilience of doughs and allow flavor characteristics such as creaminess, foaminess or creaminess to be adjusted. They also help to save on raw materials, as they can be used to add more water or air.
Emulsifiers, including natural ones, have pronounced biological effects. They should therefore not be added indiscriminately to foods. The toxicological tests on emulsifiers are unsatisfactory, often come from the manufacturers themselves and are often unpublished. In the usual tests (such as mortality, cancer incidence, organ weights, reproduction), no conspicuous side effects were usually observed.
However, emulsifiers change the permeability of membranes. This is why they are added to pesticides, for example, to increase their effectiveness. This explains why they can also play a key role in intestinal diseases and allergies: They change the surface of the mucous membrane, can dissolve cells in slightly increased concentrations and make the intestine more permeable to allergy-causing food components, residues or additives. The full extent of this process has hardly been investigated to date.
Used in baked goods, confectionery, sauces, desserts, margarine, sausage, ice cream, etc. A declaration is not required in many cases. The approval policy for emulsifiers in Germany has been comparatively cautious. Harmonization under EU law has significantly increased the number of permitted emulsifiers.
