I am interested in what you do with the clothes that have not been sold. These are also raw materials that have been produced and have consumed resources. As I am committed to ensuring that we have no food waste at home, it is also important to me that no clothing waste is produced.

Migros donates unsold, flawless non-food goods such as clothes, underwear, shoes, personal hygiene products and office supplies to charitable organizations.

....and when the clothes end up with "charitable organizations", that's not the end of the story: a triage takes place: What can we sell in Switzerland, what can we sell in Eastern Europe, what can we sell in Africa, what can we only give away, what are rags and textile fibers that can only be reused in industry. The "do-gooders" try to "silver" every donation, because money is often more versatile than the "object of the donation". I was able to experience this during a tour of the clothing triage department of one such organization and watch the triage process.
I once saw an interesting report on TV: It's fascinating to see what small local businesses in Africa do with old clothes (which are sold and not given away).
