I haven't been able to find normal bread in Migros for a few days now.
By that I mean half-white or smoked bread.
These breads are indispensable, especially for a fondue.
Why are these breads no longer available?
Although I am an absolute Migros child, I am increasingly toying with the idea of buying my groceries from the competition for this reason.
I hope Migros reconsiders its decision and brings the normal breads back onto the shelves.

I thought the same thing a few weeks ago, until I realized that they had changed it again. The bread is still there! Walk around the racks. In my Migros it's now where the cakes, Birnweggli etc. used to be on the shelf.

I was also looking for the loaves and found them on one of the shelves at the bottom, almost touching the floor.

On the one hand, we were in the "Mall" in Ebikon, where we even asked and were told by a Migros employee that there was no more Halbweissbrot or Ruchbrot in the range.
On the other hand, we also visited the branches in Cham and the Zugerland shopping center. We didn't ask there, but we didn't find any either.

I have since received feedback from the Migros Lucerne cooperative.
All three branches mentioned carry several variations of Ruchbrot and Halbweissbrot:
Halbweissbrot 500g, Ruchbrot 1000g, 500g, 250g
However, it can happen that certain varieties are sold out earlier on some days.
Incidentally, Alpine bread is also an excellent bread for fondue.

I also checked in Wohlen, where the bread is in its usual place. Maybe it really is just at a different location. Just ask at the store where you go shopping?
