Migros has removed a number of companies from its portfolio. The same applies to the cooperatives... But Coop has taken over Jumbo, for example...
Where do customers go? LIDL and ALDI😃. Some of them have really excellent products at very reasonable prices. You can buy toilet paper, shower gel, liquid soap, toothpaste and washing powder there at half the price of Migros... I only buy these and other products there. Because even when Migros runs 50% promotions, it still costs more than at Aldi/Lidl at the regular price.
