Cyclamate(E 952) is a synthetic sweetener. Chemically, it is cyclohexylsulfamic acid and its sodium and calcium salts. The permitted daily dose is 7mg/kg body weight. This value is not usually exceeded by consumers with an average cyclamate intake.
