Who invented the radio and telephone?

Wer erfand das Radio und Telefon?

Guest

Hello folks,

this is interesting:

The genius Nikola Tesla

Ask any student, "Who invented the radio?" and the answer, if you get one at all, will undoubtedly be Marconi - an answer that is consistent with all encyclopedias and textbooks. Or ask anyone who invented the thing that powers their toaster, computer, street lights, businesses and office equipment. Without hesitation, the answer will be Thomas Edison, who else?

And yet both answers are wrong.

The correct answer would be Nikola Tesla, a person very few people have ever heard of. He is said to have discovered X-rays a year before W.K. Röntgen, he built a tube amplifier a few years before Lee de Forest, he used neon light in his laboratory 40 years before industry invented it, he demonstrated the principles we use today for microwave ovens and radar decades before they became part of our society. Yet we don't associate his name with any of these inventions, (after his death the FBI declared Tesla's estate top secret).

His inventions include alternating/rotating current, alternating current motor, Tesla coil, radio technology, remote controls, radio (energy transmitter, free energy receiver), high frequency lamp, disk turbine and more than 700 other patents.

Good morning @Alan777

Nice that you found the Migipedia platform and share what you find interesting in blogs. Unfortunately, such articles cannot be trusted because the sources are not documented as on WikipediA.

What you have copied from the link provided are just assertions, because I learned back in the 1950s that Nikola Tesla was an outstanding physicist, discoverer of Tesla currents and technical promoter of multiphase currents.
I then picked up one of my remaining reference books and read at Radio: Nikola Tesla 1896

"New York, USA - He dreams of a better world. Of an earth free of hunger and need, of a worldwide communication system and of the use of an inexhaustible source of energy.
[...]
Three years before the Italian Marconi, who is considered a pioneer of radio technology, he begins with wireless telegraphy.
[...]
But because Tesla did not pursue the matter any further, others made money with it and became famous."

I would adapt the thread or have it deleted by the moderators!

Best wishes and have a nice Sunday
Istanbul

Can someone explain what this thread, or the two previous threads by Alan777, have to do with Migros and/or a Migro product?
I think Migipedia is being confused with Wikipedia here.
However, as Istanbul has noted, the contributions there are checked and documented.
I can still understand his first thread about sugar, as there are already several threads on the subject of sugar content in products and sugar consumption.
But evolution, or the invention of the radio, is probably better placed on a platform for history/science.

In the USA alone, he was able to register 112 patents in around 50 years of work. Dr. Nikola Tesla was once one of the most famous people on the planet. Today, he has disappeared from our scientific textbooks and school books. What did he discover that made him fall from grace? - Nexus Magazine Before many generations have passed, our machines will be powered by a force that is available everywhere in the universe... There is energy in all of space. - Nikola Tesla...

The word "tachyon" is derived from the Greek word "tachytis" and means. Speed, very fast particle, faster than light. Tachyons have been known mathematically for around 50 years. As early as 1896, Nicola Tesla mentioned the existence of scalar fields. The most important mode of action of tachyons is to generate a magnetic field from disharmonic states. More info:

Sorry, but this is spam, nothing else.

And what does that have to do with Migros, you stupid fool!
