Less sweetness

weniger Süsse

How about having a product line with less sweet products. Yoghurts, mueslis, sweets and I don't know what else are very often far too sweet, regardless of whether they are sweetened with sugar or sweeteners. It doesn't need to be completely sweet, but less so. It's particularly bad with yogurts. There are no alternatives apart from natural yogurts. And let's be clear: less sweetness is required, not less taste...

Hello Pallas,

Thank you very much for your suggestions. We are always open to and grateful for suggestions and requests. I will pass on the request for less sweet products to those responsible.

Kind regards,

Hello Pallas

Migros has a Generation M promise that corresponds exactly to your request. We are already working on reducing the sugar content of our yogurts and are well on the way to doing so: http://www.migros.ch/generation-m/de/nachhaltigkeit/generation-m/was-wir-heute-tun/versprechen-gesundheit/reduktion-zuckergehalt.html

This project is of course also an issue for other products. We'll keep at it.

Kind regards

I can only agree with you. I can't eat fruit yoghurt out of the pot just like that. It's too sweet. For me, the mixture is right if I take half and add an equal part natural yoghurt.

Modified waxy maize starch has no place in food either - by the way. That's why we use organic yogurt.

Hello Tanja

but instead of 45% of yoghurts, I would prefer a sugar reduction of 5-10% for 5-10% of yoghurts...
I'm really interested in a whole line of yogurts (and quark and muesli and...) that are low in sugar but full of flavor. I also "dilute" yogurts with natural yogurts, but that also takes away the taste... And it's not about fat (so not Leger, light and all that stuff), not about calories (so not sweeteners), but about the sweetness itself. It's just too much. I praise French yogurts for that! Wonderfully full of flavor, slightly sour, just "yogurty"...

I would like to see less sugar in all products. Yoghurt, muesli, flakes, farmer's sticks, etc. I can still add "sweetness" to everything if I don't have enough. Just like when I was a child, when we used to pour sugar over cornflakes, or my grandma, who still adds sugar to whipped cream today!

It's great to read that others feel the same way!
I also find all that sugar tedious. If I wanted to sweeten a natural yoghurt, I would never put more than 2 KL of sugar in it. But with many yogurts, over 6 KL is standard!

With many foods, lots of sugar is just a habit and this habit would adapt so quickly. Wouldn't it?

I would call this line "LOW SUGAR" :)

@Lo0-0ora
I agree with you. If you weren't exposed to sugar in all foods from childhood onwards, you would consider unsweetened foods to be normal.
But a German name would have to be found ;-)

"Bizzu" bizli zucker :)
Zuckersüess (and "zucker" in asgeblendeter Schrift)

The reason for the sh*** sugar everywhere is unbelievable! https://www.srf.ch/news/schweiz/fanta-co-das-suessere-leben-in-der-schweiz

Interesting report, thank you, but who drinks sweet drinks these days anyway? It doesn't matter whether there are 40 sugar cubes or 20 or 10, there's sugar in it. That's why I've been drinking water, water with a slice of lemon and mint in it or unsweetened herbal tea for ages. And I don't drink zero and light drinks anyway.
