I've also wondered whether Swiss wood from sustainable cultivation could be used for this... No, all joking aside: since hardly any other material than plastic would be suitable for a closure of this type, the question arises as to whether a refill bag needs to be resealable at all. The answer is certainly yes, at least if the contents of the refill bag are larger than those of the container to be refilled. Incidentally, the question is certainly worth a little discussion. Like@sirio60, it doesn't seem very easy to me to find a suitable replacement material that allows a closure of the same quality and whose ecological footprint is really better than that of the previous closures.

Thanks for passing it on! And the Potz refill bags are 1 bottle content and therefore do not have to be resealable. They are already available but I'm not sure which wholesaler - there's just a "tip" at the top that you cut off and you're done... Lg

Hello everyone
I found out from our supplier that we were using an alternative closure for a while. This was a tube that was shrink-wrapped in the refill bag and the tip was simply cut off to open it.
Unfortunately, this variant turned out not to be ideal: the tubes often caused small holes that led to the bags leaking. This was extremely annoying for both the affected areas and the customers.
As the problem could not be solved, we switched to the current design. This is much safer and can be filled and emptied using the same closure.
