At any of my Migros (MMM) stores—not even the one closest to me—there wasn’t a single raw egg to be found. Sure, it was Easter, but I find it hard to believe that’s the reason.
Apparently, from what I’ve heard, there’s another reason behind it. So is the same thing happening with eggs now as happened with dairy products a while back? …
At the two stores where I shop (Migros Aare), there have been large quantities of raw eggs in recent weeks, and they’re still available. The only thing that has disappeared are the 6-packs of “Swiss Eggs” in the blue packaging, which forces customers to resort to the “From the Region” eggs in the green packaging—which, for some inexplicable reason, are much more expensive and now cost 10 centimes more (4.40 CHF instead of the previous 4.30 CHF for 6 eggs).
