What's wrong with Migros in 2016? Half the menu, half the service and the full measure of patience!

Dear Migros. Somehow I'm not happy with either of them this year.
It all started with a product search. I found percale pillowcases in the sale. After researching availability, I wanted to have them sent to the Migros City store. After contacting the hotline, both by phone and in writing, and other stores, I didn't get the help I needed anywhere. Hotline inquiries took forever and the stores were unable and unwilling to help me. No putting back, no sending and certainly no being able to place an order. You can look at the sale items, but you can't order them. After frustrating, pointless phone calls, I happened to find what I was looking for in M-Brunau. Strangely, according to the system, they never had the item and I was actually there for something else.
I've been taking music lessons at the Migros Club School since last year. Now they've changed the day, which has resulted in one more day of lessons. This now also wants to be paid for. So they immediately and aggressively sent me a request for payment with an immediate note. Less than a week later, I received a reminder for this totally late payment. After contacting you in writing and by phone, you apologized for the system error.
I collected these stamps for the parcel campaign. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the Knorr herb bouillon cubes I wanted in any store. This item is also listed in the Migros product search. These would have been 20% off and I wanted to stock up. As a result, my surprise packet card was only half full. I would have liked to have received at least half a box with half a card.
Please at least create a box for half next time.
And now the gift basket day. I phoned around to find out whether I could get a basket like this if I bought CHF 60 worth in a Melectronic store. Not really, I was told at the Holine. In the case of mixed stores, such as Brunau, they couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't work. But I am closer to the branch in Zurich City. So I clarified whether I could get a basket with the receipt from Melectronic. A friendly "yes" from an employee early in the morning on 17.02 made me feel confident.
Now I wanted to buy an external hard disk from Melectronics at the lowest guaranteed price. It was a lot cheaper at Digitec and Fust and available from stock.
Since I've already done this with a cell phone and an ipad-mini keyboard, it shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, the store manager for the day had not yet returned from his lunch break. So I went out for a bite to eat and tried my luck later. He then told me that he would have to clarify this with his boss the next day. Incidentally, this was the first really unfriendly Migros employee I had ever met.
So the basket for my little daughter was also gone. They weren't allowed to put anything back for me in the shop either. It had to be an invoice from today, 17.02. As I wandered reluctantly through the sales area, unfortunately I couldn't find anything that I could really use and I had already done my grocery shopping last Saturday.
So dear Migros. So far this year I've only had frustration with you. Let's see if that changes.
Somehow, to make up for it, I would like you to send me a small Migros basket filled with the contents of half a surprise box for my next birthday on Monday the 22nd.
But like everything I've already tried with you this year, that will probably remain a pipe dream!

I'm sorry that our relationship has started the new year so badly from your point of view. I didn't realize until now that we had so many problems with each other. Thank you for your openness at this point. I'll do my best to change our relationship status from "it's complicated" to "happy" as soon as possible.



You're right about the first point: it shouldn't happen that the system shows a different stock in the product search than you found in the store. The incorrect information can occur from time to time, for example if stock is used up more quickly than expected or if a store does not update the system immediately. I will point this out to the stores you mentioned so that we can improve on this point. I'm glad you were still able to find the pillowcases.



I'm sorry that you weren't happy with our special "Surprise package" and "Chörbli Day" promotions. We actually wanted to make you happy and not upset you further. We can't offer half packages (not even for the next promotion). But you could, for example, collect together with neighbors or friends - then you can share a package. That way you benefit from the full surprise instead of just half.



Your openness helps us to improve. I'll pass on all your input and together we'll do our best every day to make sure you enjoy coming to us again. Hopefully the year will develop to your satisfaction from now on.

Unfortunately, being "happy" with Migros is not yet a good thing.

A new chapter in the tragedy:

I go to the till in the Migros restaurant with the coffee voucher from the surprise package. I have bought a menu and ask in a friendly manner if I can simply redeem the voucher later. By later I mean after I have eaten. The idea is that the coffee won't be cold afterwards ;-) The nice sales clerk said yes and I left with my lunch to eat.
Afterwards I got myself a COFFEE. Together with the receipt of my consumption (see picture) I went to the cashier and was told by a new cashier that she could not redeem this voucher. The other cashier had probably taken a break and was no longer to be seen. I couldn't find an explanation for this strange procedure on the voucher either.
SO I WAS ALLOWED TO PAY FOR THE COFFEE.

Migros now owes me 1 coffee and actually also this basket.
And I'm really only happy at the moment if I don't get involved with Migros.

I find your way of writing - "Migros owes me" - disconcerting.

But surely it can't be that the M-Restaurant guest is expected to stand at the till with a SchniPo and an espresso? Presumably the first cashier should have handed over a coffee voucher or something similar when paying for the menu.

Please put yourself in the situation. Strange that my valid voucher does not fulfill the conditions printed on it, even though it does. Surprising that this is not simply redeemed after you have asked beforehand. And this causes me to be astonished.

I can understand something about the coffee, it's not well thought out and you should be that flexible. However, I wouldn't blame it on the cashier but on the system, which was probably programmed in such a way that the cashier had no other choice.

As for the basket or the half package: What do you actually think you can set the conditions here? There are rules for these promotions and if you don't comply with them, you have nothing to claim. Of course someone can give you a basket out of goodwill, but to talk about "debts" here is the worst. And as for the half package: you're not serious, are you?

And sorry if I didn't strike the right note for you here. I wrote this article out of frustration that everything is also going wrong at Migros this year.

That's right, I also blame the system.

The basket would have been a nice goodie for my little daughter and it would actually have worked. It's understandable that it annoys me a little, isn't it?
And if you don't like debts, I think "I would have been entitled" might be more to your taste.
And the half package is a suggestion!
