I usually have my bag with me. Every now and then it happens that I buy more than I expected and then I have to buy another bag. Very reluctantly. Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a collection box for used paper bags at the checkouts or at the entrance? I would like to deposit mine there instead of disposing of them at home. That way they could be reused and the environment would be helped

I always try to take more bags with me than I actually need or leave a few in the car. That way I've hardly ever needed to buy new ones.
A good idea in itself... but I think it will be very difficult to enforce this in terms of hygiene. In addition... I personally would also be rather skeptical about what the previous person had transported in it, what kind of household (smokers, other sources of odor, how long it had been in their apartment or basement...) I always have enough bags at least in the car and would rather pay for a new one than take an "uncertain used" one, until then you can roll products in the pannier if it becomes more than intended. My reusable bags have lasted for years, the fabric ones have survived several washing machine cycles and the synthetic ones have survived several showers.

Collect waste paper or cardboard in it, quite simply, I also see a hygiene problem with collecting it, or maybe a relative or neighbor will take it
