In the past, and that was quite a while ago, storage tins were available in which, for example, 1kg of sugar, flour, rice etc. could be stored cleanly and well sealed in the packaging after they had been opened for use. Because, if the packaging is still there, the consumer date and other information, such as calorie count, cooking instructions etc. are still visible. I think it would be worthwhile to adapt the "storage tins" sold in Migros better to the packaged food and/or the food packaging to the storage tins on offer.
