I would like to ask why these two flavors are no longer available in 2L containers for CHF 5.90. Vanilla ice cream is still available in 2L containers, but unfortunately it doesn't taste good at all. Why have the 2L containers been abolished?

Hello SibWol, thank you for your contribution. Unfortunately, I'm not sure which two glazes we're talking about - please understand. Can you please let me know the article numbers? I will then be happy to clarify what happened to these ice creams. Kind regards, Luisa

Hi Luisa Unfortunately I don't have an item number. But it was a white 2-liter box with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a vanilla pod on it and on the lid there was a blue square with a big M in the top left corner and vanilla underneath, for the price of Fr. 5.90. Migros always had this ice cream in its range until now. It has now been replaced by this other 2-liter box, which now costs Fr. 3.10 and, as many Migros customers have already reported on Migipedia, this ice cream is really not good. Everyone wants this other ice cream back. Greetings Sibylle

@Sibwol The way you describe it, the ice cream you are looking for is from the M-Classic brand. https://image.migros.ch/original/477ae27cfc690038606b75565dc99586d3f9245f/m-classic-vaniglia.jpg The supposedly new box is also from M-Classic, but with a new logo and a different design. And presumably the recipe was also changed at the same time. https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/160314100000 @M-Infoline: https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/160314100000 (2000 ml) and https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/160314000000 (1000 ml) BOTH cost CHF 3.10 according to the Migipedia page given - can't be right, can it?

All right. It's clear that 2 liters of ice cream for the price and made from these ingredients isn't great. Ingredients list: horrible....there's nothing more to say.

Hello SibWol The previous article M-Classic Vanilla in the 2L tin (CHF 5.90) has been replaced by the article M-Classic Vanilla 1000 ml (CHF 3.10) https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/160314000000. The old recipe was based on a vegetable fat base, which we have now changed to the higher quality base with whole milk and cream. The M-Classic Vanilla 2000 ml (CHF 3.10) https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/160314100000 is the direct successor to the previous M-Budget Vanilla Glaces 2.5L (CHF 3.50), which is based on a milk/vegetable fat recipe. Kind regards, Angela

Hello Nachtspalter The M-Classic 1000 ml (https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/160314000000) are cream ice cream and the 2000 ml (https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/160314100000) are the cheaper variants based on vegetable fat. These contain no cream and are therefore cheaper. Kind regards, Angela

Dear Angela Thank you very much for your answer. Does the 2-liter box then only have to cost CHF 3.10? Based on the many negative reactions on Migipedia regarding the new version, many customers would certainly be prepared to pay the higher price of CHF 5.90 again if the old recipe were used again. Please give this some serious thought. Unfortunately, this recipe change has gone badly wrong. best regards Sibylle

Hello Sibylle Thank you for your feedback. I have forwarded your comment to the product manager. I cannot confirm if and when we will change anything again. Kind regards, Angela

And, dear M-Infoline, do you have any new information? Or will the new inedible recipe remain the same? Thank you for a further answer.

Hello hansR, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I don't have any good news: there will be changes again for the next ice cream season, but the recipes will remain unchanged. We are transferring 2-liter products to the M-Budget range. Best regards, Chloe
