I was in Migros in Matten (Interlaken) a week ago and paid at a self-checkout with Google Pay. The purchase failed, so I paid at the till as normal. However, the amount was still taken from my account. What should I do?
There's probably not much Migros can do if the payment was made via Google Pay and your credit card. Call the hotline of your credit card issuer as soon as possible and describe the case. They will be able to tell you what to do next.

@Tobi25 According to your description, you first went to the SelfCheckout - it didn't work - then you packed everything together and went to a normal checkout and then paid in cash, for example.
If you showed Cumulus at both locations, then your Cumulus account contains 2 checkout slips with the same items paid for every minute at 2 locations, and Migros will certainly accept this evidence. Without Cumulus, it's a case of testimony against testimony - I'm afraid there's not much you can do then = anonymous purchase - unless Migros can read out such cases anyway.
You are welcome to send me your Cumulus number via PN so that I can check your Cumulus account to see if the same purchase has been registered twice.
Best regards

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately I don't have a Cummulus But I have the receipt and my Google Pay payment, both at almost the same time Best regards Tobias
I've always said it, but nobody wants to believe me. A question in passing: "When do you make these payment settings?" (Take your phone out of your pocket, unlock your phone, search for and open the app and activate the payment method). So if someone is really pressed for time, the cashier is quicker with the purchases. It has also happened that all check-out stations and the self-scan stations were occupied. I've really experienced this, what do you do then?
Can't you just reintroduce good old fast checkouts for up to 7 products? In case the technology goes haywire again.
Can any of the technology freaks do mental arithmetic? We learned to do it not only up to 10, but also 12, 15, 24 and 25. Just go straight to the checkout.
Yes, I MSG may be the only one who resists technology, but as long as I can, I will stand at the checkout with living people. Sometimes the cashiers are half psychiatrists where you can talk about your day. You can't do that with technology.
