Unhygienisch

Did my weekly shopping today at my favorite Migros. I was once again amazed/surprised/shocked at how many parents put their children IN the shopping cart (not in the seat)! Is that really necessary? I already commented on this topic some time ago. I just think it's absolutely disgusting when children sit in the shopping cart with their street shoes on and then the next person puts their groceries in! I am fully aware that the shopping cart itself is not a germ-free zone. That's not my point at all. But do children really have to sit IN the trolley? Worst-case scenario: first step in the dog poo, put it in the shopping cart and then eat the delicious braided butter. Yummy, very tasty!
I've also asked parents about this directly, but all I get are stupid comments and a lack of understanding. Sorry, I have children myself, but they will certainly never sit in the car.
Is it just me or are there others in the big Migipedia family who find it annoying?

Nope.

I was recently at a buffet getting food and some knee-biter was messing around with his fingers in the salad. I smacked the toddler on the fingers and then got to hear the sentence: That was completely unnecessary, the child knows not to do that. Haha. I find that disgusting.

Hi Migi-Goof, I am also horrified when children are put in the shopping cart. However, intervening with the sales staff didn't help. The sales clerk said that they couldn't forbid customers from doing this because they were afraid of upsetting them and losing them.

I've already posted about this on another occasion:

On the subject of hygiene: do you actually know where exactly it is greenest on the shopping trolleys? The handle where you push the trolley. That was tested - the bacteria found there were so delicious :-). The finest coli bacteria, for example, but they probably don't come from the diaper pack on the trolley handle....
That's why I've long been in the habit of washing my hands first when I get home from the supermarket. During the flu season, I even have a disinfectant wipe with me so I can quickly clean the handle before I go shopping.

What really annoys me, however, is the lap dog that sits in the child's seat in the Poschtiwägeli every Thursday and slobbers off the push handle of the trolley....
Unfortunately, there's no cure for these pensioners....
