Surprise egg

Überraschungsei

A few days ago, I received a little surprise for my purchase at Migros - thank you very much. However, this surprise turned out to be a waste product: 3 plastic eggs with instructions suggesting a pseudo use for the 3 egg-shaped containers.

I just wondered how exactly I was supposed to mix omelette batter with the 'big' egg and how the container could then be opened without the contents splashing in all directions.
All under the slogan 'From the region. For the region.
As I said, I have nothing against surprises. But Migros could have made me happier with some chocolate rather than a poorly designed plastic product.

Did you also receive such a surprise? What do you think of it?

Greetings
Jürg

I was annoyed about this too, but then saved myself the comment. After all, I can use the middle egg as I often like to cook Taiwanese tea eggs and take them to work, so one egg fits in there exactly.

Otherwise the surprise was probably really waste in most cases. But anyone who takes a look behind the scenes knows what Migros really thinks about sustainability.

Yes, everything about this plastic waste is really as bad as it can be. Even the connection with "from the region" stinks to high heaven ... this plastic stuff certainly comes directly from China!

I don't know what I'm supposed to do with an additional mini "salt shaker" ... I now even throw away the super nice spice shakers that I buy at the Coop (and which could almost perfectly be upcycled as salt shakers ... if the labels weren't so stuck on that you have to use a hot air blower to take them off) because I don't have a restaurant and I don't need 2 new salt shakers every month ...

The "egg cup" is missing ... as is usually the case, the egg spoon ... I would consider the legendary egg cup with the spoon as a handle from the "Zweckermann catalog" to be more practical ... at least you always have the egg cup and the egg spoon to hand and don't have to search for the missing part.

And why do I need a cup to mix "omelettes" ... which I can't even clean in the dishwasher and which only makes one omelette or not even that ...?

Hello everyone

Thank you for your messages. It's a shame that you can't do anything with our surprise.

I'll be happy to pass on the feedback.

Kind regards

Hello Tanja,
unfortunately I have to agree that the egg was a flop ?
However, the gift beforehand with the herb pot inside was well received by my friends ?
greetings and have a nice evening

I received a wooden box (possibly from the region?) from this campaign. It contained rosemary seeds and a pressed ball of earth. I was probably comparatively lucky. Although I'm not a big fan of rosemary. I'll probably use the seeds for guerrilla gardening in the spring. And grow other seeds on the bale.
