The cooperatives are independently run and can therefore decide for themselves whether they want to participate in a project like Too Good To Go. With the success of the Lucerne cooperative, it is to be hoped that other cooperatives will follow suit. In any case, it is already an issue in some cases (I personally don't know about everywhere), the cooperatives are also exchanging ideas with each other and it is certainly motivating when others successfully lead the way, and we will certainly announce it when there are new Too Good To Go members from Migros! :)
Is there a particular cooperative that particularly interests you? If so, I can also ask what the plans are there.

I would be specifically interested in Migros Muri AG (no idea which cooperative) and the Zurich cooperative with Affoltern am Albis
That would be the Aare for the canton of Aargau. :) I'll ask in both places and get back to you @Natitata!

Hello @Natitata. I have already received a reply from both cooperatives. Both are closely following the new path that the Lucerne cooperative is taking. They have already exchanged ideas, but are not yet ready to join Too Good To Go in the near future. But that doesn't mean it will never happen, of course.
What all cooperatives have been doing for some time is working with social institutions (e.g. Tischlein Deck Dich or Schweizer Tafel) to pass on surplus food. In addition, products that are about to expire are offered at reduced prices in the branches. First for the customers and later even more favorably for the employees. So everything possible is being done to prevent food waste as far as possible. Starting with an intelligent ordering system that should enable optimal quantity planning. But of course this can never hit the mark, so a store may run out of an item earlier or still have a little too much in the evening.
