For about 3 years now, the fine tomato flavor has been missing from all tomato varieties. Only the panicle of vine tomatoes smells good, but as soon as you take them off, they too are bland. I'm lucky enough to have a farm store where they sell cocktail tomatoes from the surrounding farm gardens, very sweet and intensely tomatoey, and even cheaper. It's only then that you realize how tasteless they are in the store, because they are highly bred and designed to grow quickly, so the taste is lost. Dear Bodenseeknusperli, yes, I know that, that's why I've already brought it to the attention of Migros and Coop for the second time, but nothing has been improved in these years. What irritates me is that you're asking this question NOW - in January! That's why I can't answer it at the moment! Because: the tomatoes you buy now are "produced" from so far away or with so much additional energy that they shouldn't be consumed here in Switzerland. I think that's something that contributes to the problem of tomatoes without flavour: the consumption of out-of-season vegetables and fruit! If we don't buy tomatoes now, Migros can't do any business with them and won't buy them any more. Then they won't have to be produced in vast quantities and with a lot of heating power. It could be that the quality will then also improve again? Sometimes you have to take some responsibility yourself!

This was already criticized X years ago, even then there was only a standard answer, if you want good 🍅 that also taste like 🌞matured 🍅, you either have to keep complaining, buy them from the farmer at the weekly market or just plant them yourself.
