Animal testing

Tierversuche

Dear Migros Team Are your own brands tested on animals? What is the situation with the brands Potz, Hygo, Migros Plus, Elan, Total and Yvette? Kind regards Angela

@Angela 431: The following thread may be of interest to you: https://migipedia.migros.ch/de/forum/i-am-ohne-tierversuche

Hello Angela321, thank you for your inquiry. Our products are not tested on animals. Kind regards, Richi

Is it the same for individual ingredients? Or what does "dermatologically tested" actually mean? So if there really is no animal testing on behalf of Migros, I think it's the only right thing to do, then keep it up if that's the case :)

Hello @Philipp_Migros I made an observation about this post by Bodenseeknusperli and therefore have a question for you: In the activity stream (https://migipedia.migros.ch/de/activitystream?filter=forum) it says that she (allegedly) wrote this post on melectronics.ch, which I think is absurd. In addition, the whole title is black, not just the words "Reply to", as is usually the case. In addition, the title is not clickable; if you want to open the thread, you have to select another post from it. Has some linking troublemaker in your system intervened with his sleeping bag? Off-topic:↵In fact, there's even one about Micasa further down, also from me. Although I only ever read and reply via the forum, and would have preferred to hide Micasa and Melektronik anyway because their stuff interests me zero😋

Hello Bodenseeknusperli, I'll be happy to give you some information. MIFA, Migros' own industry, has never tested products on animals. Unfortunately, I can't give you any information about our subcontractors. "Dermatologically tested" means that the skin compatibility of the product has been tested on human volunteers. Independent test institutes that specialize in dermatological tests carry out this epicutaneous test (patch test) - usually on the backs of the test subjects. It is used to test the product for primary skin irritations or contact allergies in humans before it is launched. No tests are carried out on animals. Kind regards, Luisa
