There is a biological remedy against rats, mice and birds that is thousands of years old. It is available in different colors and everyone who has a garden is visited by this remedy every night.

Bleeding in joints can be very painful for the animal simply because of the associated swelling. Bleeding in the respiratory organs leads to respiratory distress and respiratory distress is a truly horrible suffering. Bleeding near organs and nerves is also often very painful.

The Maag product was advertised with a false promise (painless infestation) and was therefore withdrawn from the range in order to adapt the label.
Our own brand contains the same active ingredient as the Maag product and is intended for severe rat and mouse infestations that cannot be eliminated by other means.
As the Swiss animal welfare organization reports in the Espresso article, rats and mice are too intelligent for fast-acting poisons: "In every rat clan there are so-called "tasters" who try new food first. If they die quickly, the remaining animals won't eat any more of the poisoned bait".
Our own brand does not promise a quick and painless death on the label. The label also strongly emphasizes precautionary measures with regard to children and pets. We are therefore not making questionable promises (as Espresso calls them) and will keep the product in our range.

Cats also tend not to offer their prey a quick and painless death. I have seen cats that have repeatedly released a caught mouse, thrown it around, chased after it and grabbed it again. The mouse was still alive and kept squeaking. It was only dead after a good hour. So cats are cruel to animals?
Pests like mice and rats are the natural enemy of humans, and as soon as they are in the home I have pretty much zero sympathy. Of course, poison is only an emergency solution because the animals then die and decompose somewhere where they are not so easy to find. But if there are so many that traps no longer help, that's probably the lesser evil.
