As the contents of the jar are not destroyed all at once, the asparagus was fished out one by one with a fondue fork. That's when I noticed the stiff stalks. Unfortunately, I didn't try the appetizing pale asparagus before I prepared my dinner plate, because I could have hammered it into the roof rack as a carpenter's nail without bending it.
Too bad: the cold plate turned into a half-warm dish, because the asparagus ended up in the frying pan where it lost its firmness in butter and herbs.
Hopefully the asparagus in the other jar and especially the green ones, which also say "extra crunchy", are not infected with granite! ?
