Subito Scanning - New software on old devices...

Subito Scanning - Neue Software auf alten Geräten...

You can get used to new software - but the old devices don't fit in. So I was bothered by: -- the single view and list view on one screen - a bit confusing because of the number display -- the special input for the yoghurts (1 or 2 selection) could have been eliminated in this update -- the single view is now after the last input - so why not change the yoghurt number right there?
-- the order of the list view was better before: first entry instead of change... because of control check -- I have the impression that the font has been made smaller - a pity because of the number -- I have the impression that the beep has become quieter - a pity, I scanned something 2* at the beginning because of this -- Of the 3 payment options, the credit card can be confidently described as such - then you don't have to reach the destination by exclusion: No app payment, No gift cards... the placement at the bottom is fine. It's just my first impression without warning, but as said at the beginning: you get used to it .... ;-)

This morning I went shopping in the other neighboring village with a MM (not MMM as 2 days ago), but freshly renovated in late fall, with a new Subito system and what a positive surprise: with the previous software... I thought that software changes would be Switzerland-wide or at least in the same region (in my case Eastern Switzerland). So I have to assume that the change is just a pilot project in MMM. On the one hand, there is hope that some things will be improved and on the other hand, I wonder where the added value of this new version is supposed to be, even if I don't even consider the "love of habit". For me, this is almost a reason to continue shopping in today's MM - at least as long as this version is still in operation there... ;-) So let's take another quick look at the advantages of the previous version's scanner alone: --The switch between single and list view on the center-bottom display and the up-down movement in this list view to the left or right of it is much more logical than this mixed form in the new version.
--The whole structure of the display, the legibility, the audibility of the beep --I briefly check the purchase just before the payment station and compare it with my slip of paper and the scanned sequence (which is not changed in the previous system) is also decisive for the speedy check.

The scanner output and the payment process at the end of the purchase may be a little more "illustrated", but this situation is only advantageous for first-time users, but this is so marginal: -- At the scanner output, the first-time user can see how the previous user is doing it -- At the payment station, there are staff for stitch checks anyway, who can also explain the facts and procedure to first-time users and by the way: I'm not going to say what I overheard in the discussion between two employees... ;-) ;-)
