Why are the bags for the vacuum cleaners always much too big?
You can never fill the bag, there would be no room for it in the compartment.
You could save a lot of material. Then perhaps the replacement vacuum cleaner bags wouldn't be so expensive.

I've noticed that too. I have a Picco Durabase and the vacuum cleaner bags that are offered for it are much too big. The vacuum cleaner then always reports a full bag. As soon as I take it out, I see that there is still room at the back.
When I bought the vacuum cleaner at the time, 2 or 3 bags were included. - These fitted perfectly and were made of sturdy paper. - Instead of being made of fabric like the current ones.
Instead of buying new bags more often, I've made it my "job" to empty the thing with gloves and a face mask and use it again *lol*
Vacuum cleaner bags with a zipper would be a hit! But you could theoretically sew that in yourself ;)
