Hello farmer, thank you for your inquiry. It is correct: we do not offer refillable lighters in our supermarket branches. BiC deliberately dispenses with the refill mechanism for lighters and multifunctional lighters in the interests of safety.
Various studies have shown that most accidents occur during the refilling process. The gas escapes and can cause breathing difficulties or skin irritation. Furthermore, the gas can ignite, which often leads to severe burns.
As the BiC lighters are not refillable, the BiC model J26, for example, has around twice as many ignitions as conventional lighters at 3000.
