Sophistication in actions the fourth

Spitzfindigkeiten bei Aktionen die Vierte

I don't think anyone knows where my earlier contributions to this quibbles section have disappeared to... Anyway, I will now continue this tradition here.

The M-Classic Chäschüechli are back in action this week, something I always look forward to. This time the Migros magazine lists the mushroom, spinach and cheese Chüechli and Quiche Lorraine in packs of 4. Until last year, this list was often used, and I was always disappointed to discover at the checkout that the onion chüechli and Gruyere cheese chüechli were not discounted. No one in the stores was ever able to explain the reason for this customer deception.

Today I discovered that they have stopped this practice, so perhaps my repeated complaints have reached the right people after all. However, the discussions and the quarter of an hour spent with the customer service team in Gümligen would not have been necessary today, because: In order not to provoke a fuss at the checkout again, I went to ask beforehand whether the Gruyere Chüchli were included in the promotion. The answer was: If they are not in the separate chilled section with the special offer board, then they are not. However, there weren't any spinach chüchli in there either, so much for this supposedly safe feature...

After a long back and forth and a test scan at the Subito checkout, it finally emerged that the Gruyere Chüechli were on promotion after all. We were unable to test the onion chüechli because they are not stocked in this branch.

To cut a long story short, as has often been the case, why not advertise the promotions so that both normal customers and sales staff know what's going on? In May or June there was a "all M-Classic Chäschüechli" promotion, why not do it again this time?

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff in Gümligen, who always try to answer my questions patiently and kindly as best they can. I'm probably known there like a sore thumb by now ?
