I think Migros has a really great selection of rice in its large stores. But there's something I'm missing because I love cooking Spanish food: Spanish rice. In specialty stores (Globus and/or Jelmoli) there is Spanish rice, a round grain rice that tastes very fine and is very suitable for paella. Could this idea be tested?

Thank you for your suggestion, which I'm happy to pass on! Have you ever tried this rice? http://www.migipedia.ch/de/lebensmittel/pasta-und-reis/reis/m-classic-ribe-risotto. It's more for Italian dishes, but maybe it would still be an alternative for paella? It's also a round grain rice.

I advise against using risotto rice. In contrast to Spanish rice, risotto rice has much more starch in it, which is why the risotto becomes sticky. However, this is undesirable with Paellea.
Coop now has "Bomba" rice in its range. You have to get the white wine there anyway ;)
Is it even allowed to use the word Coop in this forum? :P
