Mr Sieber, Head of the Non-Food and Near-Food Directorate at the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, writes about optimizing the product range in stores under the title "The right items in the right store". He says that with a customized range, over ten percent more sales are achieved and customers are consistently satisfied with the food range.
Objection! We are not satisfied. We have an M-store where the normal pasteurized cream in 2dl tubs has been removed from the range. We have countless types of milk and yogurt, but only a small range of organic yogurt.
When I try to make suggestions in the store, they say they have no influence. "Zurich" would decide. But the editorial section says that the store manager is involved in the process. So what is true? How can customers exert their influence? Today I have to go to Coop - but that doesn't result in an increase in sales at M, but a decrease.
