Assortment in Migros outlet

Sortiment in Migrosverkaufstelle

Dear Migros team

We live outside the city of Zurich and we have a rather small Migros.
The range is getting worse from week to week. Most of the new products that are presented online don't reach our store, let alone the aha products! The same applies to vegetables (not always fresh) and meat products (meagre selection)
Is there no "feedback" or "wish list" that you can give to the store manager?
Who exactly decides the assortment of the individual outlets?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

That would interest me too.

I live in the city of Lucerne and have had the impression for months that things have been disappearing from the shelves and chests - including Megastar Strawberry (I'm particularly aware of this because I really like it and eat it regularly).

I don't know if this is only temporary. And I don't know if they've been replaced (I'm just a creature of habit and probably not alone in this).

And I know that the large Migros Schweizerhof location is currently being remodeled, but I haven't read anything about the food assortment being changed.

And somehow I can't imagine getting so little in a city.

Hello everyone

As a general rule, the product ranges at our points of sale are adapted as far as possible to the demand of the respective clientele. However, this selection is not based on individual items, but on assortment levels. Depending on the sales of an item, it is allocated to a product range level.

The sales outlets receive an assortment level for the various product ranges corresponding to the sales area, according to which the range is composed. If the assortment level is increased in certain areas, not just one or two items, but entire racks of products belonging to the next higher assortment level must be integrated into the respective store, which is often not possible due to the available space.

This ensures that the basic ranges with the best-selling products are available in all outlets and that the range covers the entire breadth of the various product groups. On the other hand, it is unfortunately often not possible to include only certain "favorite products" of individual customers in the range.

Nevertheless, it is worth asking the store manager about products that you are missing. Sometimes there are products that would be available in the existing range but are not offered in the store in question. Or the store manager can place an order for certain products.

However, small Migros stores can never offer the same range of products as larger Migros stores. Not even during promotions.

I hope you can understand this.

Kind regards

Tanja

@GingerbreadSmalladdendum to my comments above: In the case of Megastar Strawberry, it is the case that it has been downgraded due to no longer being in such high demand. As a result, it has only been available in larger stores for a few months now.

Kind regards

Tanja

I don't understand that now. In my catchment area, there are small(est) stores with a very poor basic range that have a few products in their range that I can't find in medium-sized stores. That contradicts the logic of the previous answer.

Does this apply to all products? Can the store manager order goods to order so that they can be picked up in the village store?

Hello@deactivated user

A store manager can only order certain products. However, the breakdown is very complex. It is best to ask the store directly if you would like to order a specific product.
