Does anyone know if it is correct that you have to pay for a new cartridge when you hand in the old one?
Then Soda Stream is no longer worthwhile

If you want to exchange an empty cylinder for a full one at the after-sales service, you should actually only pay the CHF 17.90 for the CO2 and not the full amount for an additional cylinder.
There is already a lot to be found on the Internet. I would stay away from Soda Stream:

Thank you .... Well, 17 or 18 Chf is still okay, but I was supposed to pay the full price of 48 CHF yesterday, i.e. the new price?
Hello @kapha, thank you for your message. The replacement cylinder costs CHF 17.80. I'm sorry that you had to pay the full price. You are welcome to let me know the branch so that the responsible sales outlet is informed. Kind regards, Richi
In addition, you were sometimes treated like a potential felon if you combined Subito and gas cartridges - at least in our country. Apparently there were a few specialists who then deleted the cartridge from the scanner. You now have to pay for the cartridge separately at the customer service desk.
They've lost me as a customer. That's just too stupid for me. Such a monkey business over a cartridge.
Hello kklsid
Would you also like to tell me the store "with us" where you bought your cartridges so that I can contact them to find out what the possible problem is there?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Kathrin
Hello Kathrin
"With us" is Weinfelden Rösslifelsen.
As I said, I was told that there were people who didn't pay for the cartridges afterwards with Subito. However, as there are quite a few items that are considerably more expensive than a refill cartridge, I doubt that these people are now suddenly scanning more honestly.
In the end, however, it's probably even better now. It's annoying when you have to pay for the cartridge directly. Before, you were eyed suspiciously and when I once came into a random check with a refill cartridge, there was half an interrogation as to where exactly I got it from (yes, where was I supposed to get it from?).
Hello again @kklsid
I have forwarded your complaint to the store and hope you can buy your cartridges more relaxed in the future.
Unfortunately, I cannot judge to what extent they have experienced problems with this. If you would like to receive more detailed information personally, I invite you to send me your telephone number to migipedia@mgb.ch.
Have a nice day
Kathrin
