It's worth trying the noodles. If you are worried about the "fishy smell" described in many places, there is almost no smell. Personally, I found the slight smell after opening to be more like beetroot or potatoes. After rinsing and/or cooking, this slight smell is also completely gone. ?

Shiritaki doesn't actually have any smell.
That is why it is recommended to briefly heat them up in a sauce so that the sauce flavor is absorbed.

We tried the shiritaki noodles on Saturday and found them very tasty.
A great substitute for "real" pasta.
