Self-scanning with smartphone

Self Scanning mit Smartphone

I have a suggestion. With the Discover function in the Migros app, you can scan products and find information and recipes for the product. Now my suggestion:
- Use the Migros app to scan all items yourself. At the end of the purchase, simply scan the QR code at the terminal and since Cumulus and mobile payment are also stored in the app, everything is paid for directly. An automatic checkout from Migros would also be possible.
All the technologies are available and just need to be combined. Would also be a brilliant marketing move...
Greetings Matthias

I've suggested that before too. You're very welcome!

As far as I know, something like this is/was being planned, but I have no idea if or when it will come. Unfortunately, because it would indeed be very practical!

Coop is now doing exactly the same.

Yes, and it is very practical - one can also hope that Migros will bring this.

Yes, above all there are many Migros that do not yet have scanning with devices and only have checkouts. There you have to pack everything up again after paying and you can't keep to the 2m because other people have to pack up right next to you.

That's right. With the "passabene" app. However, the reviews in the Apple App Store are not exactly exhilarating. Have you had any experience with this app?

Yes, I have already used it. It worked well. Of course it still has room for improvement. (You can't change quantities directly on it etc.) But you can bag everything directly. Scan the code at the till and the cashier has it directly on the till and you can pay and walk out.

Yes, it usually works quite well, and on the other hand it would be worth a try if you could save yourself the self-scanner.

Very nice. And it would also eliminate the need to disinfect the self-scanners at the moment...

I think it's great that it works well. I also think that some 'teething troubles' at the beginning are ok.
