What a joy it was when I finally discovered gravad salmon in Migros! I love gravad salmon and so I treated myself to it despite the high price.
However, I was very disappointed. The definition of graved salmon is that the salmon is only marinated with spices and herbs, not smoked. You can read about it everywhere, by the way.
But what does Migros do? It smokes it. Just like that.
So it's smoked salmon with herbs, but certainly not gravad salmon. Sure, the declaration on the back is correct, but there is no mention of "gravad salmon". But at the front, where the consumer looks, it says "Graved salmon" and even "Selection". And a price of CHF 99.00 per kilo.
For smoked salmon. With herbs. And lots of sugar. Migros, really now?
Despite the correct declaration of contents, I feel like I've been taken for a bit of a ride, as gravad salmon is really quite different from smoked salmon... So we go back to the Coop to buy gravad salmon. Too bad.
